In a major breakthrough in the Yasin Khan murder case, Alwar police have arrested Deepak Meena (25), bringing the total number of arrested accused to two. This comes after the initial arrest of Akramuddin alias Akram on July 15. Police are still on the lookout for other individuals involved in this brutal crime.
On July 11, Yasin Khan, a BJP worker, was tragically murdered when a group of assailants attacked him while he was traveling on the Alwar-Jaipur highway. The attackers, traveling in Scorpio and Thar vehicles, ambushed Khan’s car and assaulted him with iron rods, sticks, and other weapons. Despite efforts to treat his injuries, Khan succumbed to the attacks.
Following the murder, Alwar Superintendent of Police (SP), Anand Sharma, led an intensive investigation, which led to the arrest of Akramuddin. During interrogation, Akram disclosed the involvement of Deepak Meena, who was subsequently apprehended.

According to the police report, the incident was reported by Jia-ul-Haq, the nephew of the victim, who stated that his uncle, Yasin Khan, was returning to Alwar from Jaipur along with two others—Advocate Jitendra Sharma and Pramendra Sharma—on July 11. Near Vijaypura, Narayanpur, their car was stopped by the assailants. The attackers then launched a brutal assault on Khan, causing fatal injuries.
