Two Arrested in Winnipeg Homicide, Third Suspect Wanted

Two men have been arrested in connection to a July 2024 homicide at a Winnipeg soccer complex, and police are searching for a third suspect, Tresor Horimbere, who is wanted for first-degree murder. The incident took place on July 13, 2024, at the soccer complex on Waverley Street, after a game in the Canada African Cup of Nations. Mohamed Yusuf Abdullahi, 22, was shot in the parking lot and later died in the hospital from his injuries.

Following an investigation, police identified three suspects. On January 20, 26-year-old Ibrahim Bangura was arrested and charged with first-degree murder. On February 5, 27-year-old Norbert Kipala, already in custody for another matter, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder.

Police have issued a Canada-wide warrant for 22-year-old Tresor Horimbere, who is considered armed and dangerous. He is believed to be in Ontario and is also wanted for firearms offences in the Hawkesbury area. Horimbere is described as 5’8″ with a slim build, weighing around 120 pounds.
