Limestone County authorities have arrested Tommy Kaye Thompson, 31, and William Flint Childers, 45, in connection with a series of truck and trailer thefts across North Alabama. The arrests were made following a joint investigation by the Limestone County Sheriff’s Office and the Athens Police Department.
Thompson faces five counts of theft of property, as well as charges for receiving stolen property, while Childers is charged with theft and receiving stolen property. Investigators recovered several stolen vehicles and trailers during the operation.
Both men are currently in custody, with Thompson’s bond set at $37,500, while Childers remains without bond due to prior theft charges. The successful investigation highlights the commitment of local law enforcement in tackling vehicle theft in the region.
