Two Arrested in Moore County Drug Bust After Traffic Stop

Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields announced the arrest of two individuals following a traffic stop in the Vass area on October 15. Detectives from the Moore County Sheriff’s Office initiated the stop on U.S. Highway 1, where a vehicle search uncovered suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Kenneth Stroud, 59, of Vass, was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine and driving with a revoked license. He is currently held at the Moore County Detention Center on a $2,000 secured bond. Stroud has a prior arrest from last year related to an alleged domestic dispute.

Dakota Lundry, 21, also from Vass, was arrested on similar charges, including possession of suspected methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and destruction of criminal evidence. He is also being held at the Moore County Detention Center under a $2,000 secured bond.

Both Stroud and Lundry are scheduled to appear in Moore County District Court on November 14.
