Two Arrested in Meridian for Stealing Semi-Trailer Worth $130K

MERIDIAN, ID — The Meridian Police Department arrested two individuals on March 3, 2025, in connection with the theft of a semi-trailer filled with merchandise valued at over $130,000.

Officers responded to the scene and, after investigating, confirmed the stolen property was present. The suspects, 27-year-old Steven Otongo and 33-year-old Francisqa Raphino, were taken into custody without incident. They were subsequently transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on grand theft charges.

“The Meridian Police Department remains committed to holding those who commit crimes accountable and ensuring the safety of our community,” said a spokesperson for the department.

The investigation is ongoing, and authorities have promised to provide further updates as new information becomes available.
