Two Arrested in iPhone Fraud Case in Greater Noida

Two men, Anupam Banerjee (45) and Ravi Agarwal (29), were arrested by Gurgaon police on Saturday for their involvement in a widespread fraud where they allegedly cheated people by offering iPhones at unbelievably low prices starting from Rs20,000 on Instagram.

The two men, part of a larger gang, operated out of an office space in Gaur City Centre, Greater Noida. The police believe that the duo had been posting advertisements for iPhones priced far below the market rate for at least seven months. They were able to lure hundreds of unsuspecting customers from across the country, leading to significant financial losses for the victims.

Banerjee, a resident of Ghaziabad’s Sector-5, and Agarwal, an Aligarh native who resides in Noida’s Shahberi, were arrested from a commercial complex in Greater Noida. Investigators suspect that the gang has defrauded hundreds of people in this scam. The authorities are continuing to investigate the case further.
