Two Arrested in Fruitland Kidnapping, Robbery at Knifepoint

FRUITLAND, Idaho — Two suspects, Larry Hanslovan of Boise and Cynatra Shaw of Fruitland, were arrested after an adult male victim reported being kidnapped, beaten, and robbed at knifepoint on November 21, 2024. The victim, who managed to escape, reported that he was forced to withdraw money from a local ATM under threat of harm to himself and his family if he attempted to flee or alert authorities.

Upon receiving the report, Fruitland Police began investigating the incident and executed a search warrant at a residence on Rome Avenue in connection with the crime.

Hanslovan faces charges of robbery, kidnapping, aggravated battery, aggravated assault, and criminal conspiracy. He is being held on a bond of $1,100,000. Shaw has been charged with robbery, kidnapping, criminal conspiracy, and drug-related offenses, including possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Shaw is being held on a bond of $1,000,000.

Both suspects are in custody as the investigation continues.
