Two Arrested in Faridabad for Bribery in Job Scam at ESIC Hospital

In a significant operation by the Haryana Anti-Corruption Bureau, two private individuals were arrested in Faridabad on Saturday for allegedly demanding a bribe to secure a job at the ESIC Hospital. The accused were identified as Rakesh and Hakim.

Rakesh, one of the arrested individuals, was caught red-handed while accepting Rs 1.8 lakh in bribe money, while Hakim was found in possession of Rs 1.2 lakh. The two had allegedly been facilitating the recruitment of a sanitation worker at the ESIC Hospital in exchange for money.

The Anti-Corruption Bureau had received a complaint from a victim, claiming that Rakesh demanded a bribe of Rs 2 lakh for securing the job. As part of an investigation, an operation was planned, during which Rakesh was apprehended while accepting a portion of the bribe. Hakim’s involvement was also uncovered during the investigation.

An FIR has been filed at the Faridabad police station against the accused individuals under the relevant sections. According to the authorities, the victim had already paid an initial sum of Rs 20,000 before Rakesh’s arrest.

The Anti-Corruption Bureau has urged citizens to remain vigilant and report any suspicious bribery activities in public offices. The investigation into the case continues as the bureau works to uncover further details.
