Moore County Sheriff’s Department Arrests Two Men After Drug Investigation

The Moore County Sheriff’s Department has arrested two men, Quinton McMillan, 59, of Pinebluff, and Edwin Hammond, 51, of Hoffman, following a lengthy drug investigation in the Addor community. According to Sheriff Ronnie Fields, detectives confiscated suspected fentanyl, cocaine, marijuana, and various drug paraphernalia during the operation.

McMillan faces multiple charges, including two counts of trafficking in opium or heroin, selling and delivering a Schedule II controlled substance, and possession with intent to sell. He was held under a 48-hour hold and is scheduled to appear in court on October 3.

Hammond is facing more severe charges, including four counts of trafficking in cocaine and felony fleeing to elude arrest. His secured bond was set at $400,000, and he is due in court on September 26.

Sheriff Fields emphasized the Sheriff’s Office’s commitment to combating drug-related activities in the community.
