Two Arrested in Connection to Arlington Auto Burglaries

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Shelby County authorities have apprehended two suspects, including a 15-year-old, linked to a series of auto burglaries and a motor vehicle theft in Arlington’s Windsor Oak Subdivision. Deputies responded on Saturday after a 2022 Ford F-150 was reported stolen and 10 additional car break-ins were confirmed.

The stolen vehicle was located in southeast Memphis, leading to the arrest of 33-year-old Mardrakous Sugars. Inside, deputies found an AR-15 rifle, cocaine, and stolen property. Following his arrest, a search at a nearby residence resulted in the detention of a 15-year-old accomplice. Both suspects face multiple charges, with further charges anticipated as the investigation progresses.
