Canandaigua, N.Y. — Two more suspects were arrested Thursday in connection with the brutal murder of Sam Nordquist, a 24-year-old transgender man from Minnesota.
Kimberly Sochia, 29, of Canandaigua, and Thomas Eaves, 21, of Geneva, were charged by New York State Police with second-degree murder with depraved indifference.
Earlier this week, a grand jury indicted five other suspects — Kyle Sage, 33, Patrick Goodwin, 30, Emily Motyka, 19, Precious Arzuaga, 38, and Jennifer Quijano, 30 — all facing the same charges in connection to Nordquist’s death. These individuals were arrested on February 13, 2025.
Nordquist, who endured months of torture, was killed in the Finger Lakes region. Three of the previously arrested suspects have prior criminal convictions.
Sochia and Eaves are currently held at the Ontario County Jail, awaiting arraignment. The investigation continues as authorities work to bring justice to Nordquist and his family.
