Two Arrested in Attempted ATM Theft in Lacy Lakeview

LACY LAKEVIEW, Texas — Two suspects, Tadarius Patton and Cameron Bryant, were arrested on November 11 for an attempted ATM theft at a 7-11 store on the IH-35 frontage road in Lacy Lakeview.

According to the Lacy Lakeview Police Department (LLPD), officers responded to a report of an ATM theft in progress around 6 a.m. Upon arriving, police observed three individuals trying to drag an ATM out of the store through a window using a rope. As the suspects attempted to flee, two drove off in a vehicle while one ran on foot.

Officers apprehended the suspect on foot, and another officer pursued the vehicle, stopping it in a nearby parking lot. Both Patton and Bryant were arrested and face multiple charges, including:

  • Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity
  • Theft of Property <$300K
  • Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle
  • Criminal Mischief >$2500 <$30K
  • Criminal Mischief Causing Impairment to ATM
  • Evading Arrest

The investigation is ongoing, with police working to identify the third suspect involved in the crime.
