Two Arrested in $28,000 Theft of Guns and Property in Lee County

LEE COUNTY, Ala. (CBS12) — Two individuals from Notasulga have been arrested in connection with the theft of more than $28,000 worth of guns, firearm accessories, ammunition, reloading equipment, and tools from a residence in Lee County.

The incident began on November 5, 2024, when a victim in the Beauregard community reported a burglary. The stolen items were valued at approximately $28,090.

The investigation led to a break in the case on January 17, when the Macon County Sheriff’s Office recovered one of the stolen firearms while executing a search warrant at an address on Hardwich Street in Notasulga.

On January 23, a follow-up search warrant was executed by a combined team of the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, Macon County Sheriff’s Office, and the Notasulga Police Department at the same location in Notasulga. Investigators recovered about $25,000 worth of the stolen property during the search.

Authorities arrested 42-year-old Thomas Harold Bullington, III and 53-year-old Alicia Christine Johnson, both of Notasulga.

Bullington was arrested by the Macon County Sheriff’s Office on unrelated charges and is currently held in the Macon County Jail. He will face charges in Lee County once released. Johnson has been charged with burglary in the third degree and theft of property in the first degree. She is being held in the Lee County Jail on an $8,000 bond.
