Two Arrested in $123,000 Retail Theft Spree Across California

Two Ontario residents, Giovanni Munoz-Leon, 51, and Nury Herrera, 32, were arrested following a series of beauty supply and clothing thefts across California. The investigation, launched after a $3,000 theft from a Lake Elsinore beauty store in August, revealed that the suspects had returned to steal an additional $2,000 worth of products. Authorities now link them to over 50 retail thefts from June to October, totaling $123,000 in merchandise. Munoz-Leon and Herrera are charged with grand theft, organized retail crime, and conspiracy, with each held on over $50,000 bail.
