Two Arrested for Traveling on Forged Passports at Ahmedabad Airport

In a significant crackdown at Ahmedabad Airport, the Bureau of Immigration arrested two individuals for attempting to travel abroad on forged passports. The suspects, Jagat Dalami (48) and Banshi Savaniya (22), were apprehended following the detection of the forged documents.

Jagat Dalami (48) was arrested on Wednesday, and Banshi Savaniya (22) was taken into custody on Tuesday. Both were caught by authorities during routine checks at the Ahmedabad Airport.

According to S G Khambaliya, Airport Police Inspector, the investigation was transferred to the Special Operations Group (SOG) after complaints were filed at the Airport Police Station.

The Special Operations Group (SOG) is currently investigating the case. The police have not yet confirmed the suspects’ intended destination, but further details regarding their motives and the source of the forged passports are expected as the investigation progresses.
