Two Arrested for Theft in Guwahati, Stolen Valuables Seized

In a successful operation, the East Guwahati Police District (EGPD) team from Basistha Police Station solved a theft case and arrested Nandeswar Rahang (18) and Bibek Brahma (18) from Lalmati. The duo was involved in breaking into a house in Bhetapara, where they stole valuable items, including ornaments and cash.

The police recovered Rs. 4350, two gold bangles, a gold ring, a gold chain, seven silver lockets, an OPPO mobile phone, and a bicycle from the accused. Legal action has been initiated against Rahang and Brahma, and further investigation into the theft case is ongoing.

This successful operation by the Basistha Police demonstrates the efficiency of local law enforcement in tackling thefts and recovering stolen goods.
