Two Arrested for Drunk Driving in Gibson County

GIBSON COUNTY, Ind. (WFIE) – Two young women were arrested Thursday morning after being involved in a drunk driving incident, according to the Gibson County Sheriff’s Office.

Around 6:55 a.m., deputies responded to a call reporting an accident with injuries in the 6100 block of W. County Road 100 N. Upon arrival, they identified the two women involved as 18-year-old Emma Madison of Princeton and 19-year-old Haliey Mattingly of Petersburg.

A roadside investigation led deputies to suspect that Madison was driving under the influence of alcohol. Further investigation revealed that Mattingly had also been drinking.

Both women were taken into custody and transported to the Gibson County Jail.

Madison is facing several charges, including operating a vehicle with a blood alcohol content (BAC) over .15%, operating a vehicle while intoxicated with endangerment, and minor consumption, possession, and transportation of alcohol.

Mattingly has been charged with minor consumption, possession, and transportation of alcohol.
