Two Arrested for Cheating Job Seekers in Fake Government Job Scam

Vijayanagar police have arrested two individuals, Hanumanthappa from Tumakuru and Biradar from Vijayapura, for allegedly duping job seekers by promising them government jobs. The duo maintained regular contact with railway employee Govindaraju, whose phone records revealed their involvement in the scam.

The accused would target job aspirants across the state, introducing them to Govindaraju, who was part of the scheme. Authorities believe that more individuals may be involved in the scam, as the network appears to be widespread.

Earlier, the police arrested Govindaraju when he was in the process of finalizing a deal with a man named Ramesh. The accused are believed to have defrauded numerous job seekers of large sums of money. Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
