Tulsa Pharmacist Chad Gassett Arrested for Drug Theft

TULSA, OK – Chad Alan Gassett, a pharmacist from Tulsa, has been arrested for allegedly stealing more than $12,000 worth of controlled substances from his employer, TruHealth Pharmacy. According to the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics (OBN), Gassett is charged with larceny of a controlled drug following a theft complaint by CREOKS Health Systems in May.

An OBN audit discovered over 13,000 doses missing from the pharmacy, and Gassett later admitted to self-medicating with drugs he began stealing in 2021 after his prescription painkillers ran out. He reportedly started by taking small amounts, eventually progressing to entire bottles.

Gassett, released on a $10,000 bond, is due in court on Thursday.
