Trumbore Arrested in Berks County After Stolen Car Incident

EXETER TOWNSHIP, Pa. (CBS12) — Around 3 p.m. on Monday, police in Exeter Township, Berks County, arrested a man named Trumbore after stopping him in a stolen Kia Sportage. The vehicle was displaying a stolen license plate, and Trumbore was found to be in possession of a large sum of cash.

Authorities confirmed that Trumbore has a history of serving time for past bank robberies in Pennsylvania and New York. His arrest took place after law enforcement officers tracked him down in connection with the stolen car.

A spokesperson for the Falls Township police reported that Trumbore is currently being held at the Berks County Correctional Facility due to a detainer placed by the state parole board. Meanwhile, in Bucks County, a warrant was issued late Monday for his arrest on charges including robbery, simple assault, receiving stolen property, and theft.

Trumbore’s arrest adds to his already lengthy criminal history, and authorities continue to investigate his connections to the latest string of crimes.
