Trio Arrested for Rs. 28.6 Lakh Theft at Deep Engineering Company, Hyderabad

In a breakthrough, the Mahankali police have solved a major theft case at Deep Engineering Company in Kandjarguda, Old Bhoiguda. On Tuesday, the police arrested a three-member gang responsible for the theft of Rs. 28.6 lakh in cash and four mobile phones.

The arrested suspects include Muralidhar Mohanlal Sharma, a cloth trader from Maharashtra, Chandrabhan Patel, a cloth trader from Uttar Pradesh, and Udayraj Singh, a watchman from Uttar Pradesh. According to police, the trio, who had previously worked in the textile business in Secunderabad, turned to crime after suffering significant financial losses during the lockdown.

The gang used their knowledge of the area and local businesses to plan the crime. On February 1, they broke into the Deep Engineering Company and stole the large sum of cash. The police, after a detailed investigation involving checking lodges, mobile network tower dumps, and reviewing CCTV footage, arrested the culprits. The recovered loot, including the cash and mobile phones, was returned to the company.
