COLUMBIANA, Ohio — Trey Bell of New Kensington, Pa., and Kenneth Littlejohn of Ambridge, Pa., were arrested on Friday afternoon in connection with an armed robbery at an AT&T store located in the Oakmont Plaza. The two men were apprehended just hours after the robbery at a North Lima motel, following a trail of electronic devices that had been traced to the location.
According to Lt. Kevin O’Kernick of the Beaver Township Police Department, his department was alerted by Columbiana police who were in pursuit of a suspect who had fled on foot into a wooded area behind the plaza. A K-9 unit was requested to assist, but the suspects made their way to the Davis Motel in North Lima, where they were later found and arrested.
The men had stolen more than 20 electronic devices during the robbery. Bell is also suspected of committing another robbery at a T-Mobile store in the Pittsburgh area the previous day and has multiple outstanding warrants for charges including theft, identity theft, forgery, and more. Media outlets had been seeking information about him, urging the public to contact the Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office with any tips.
Both Bell and Littlejohn face charges of felony receiving stolen property, possessing stolen property, and possession of criminal tools. Bell is additionally charged with a misdemeanor for obstructing official business. The suspects are currently being held at the Mahoning County Jail.
As of Saturday night, neither man had been scheduled for their initial court appearance. Authorities from Boardman police and the Ohio State Highway Patrol assisted in the investigation.
