Trevon Malik Waring Arrested in West Ashley Burglary Incident

A 20-year-old man, Trevon Malik Waring, has been arrested following a burglary that occurred late Tuesday night in West Ashley.

Charleston Police responded to reports of a burglary in progress at the Ashley Oaks Apartments, located at 78 Ashley Hall Plantation Road, around 11 p.m. Witnesses told police they had seen several individuals kicking down an apartment door before entering.

As officers arrived, two suspects fled the scene. Police quickly set up a perimeter and detained one person, identified as Waring, who was found exiting the nearby woods.

Further investigation revealed that Waring was involved in the burglary, and he was arrested. He has been charged with first-degree burglary and booked into the Al Cannon Detention Center, where he awaits a bond hearing.

At this time, there is no additional information regarding the status of the other suspects involved in the incident.
