Travis McCormick Arrested in Pitt County Drug Bust

PITT COUNTY, NC — After a three-month investigation, the Pitt County Sheriff’s Office has arrested Travis Cortez McCormick, Jr., 31, of Greenville on multiple drug-related charges.

The Arrest:
Detectives with the Pitt County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Unit conducted a traffic stop on South Memorial Dr. at Arlington Blvd. at approximately 1:50 p.m. on March 4, leading to McCormick’s arrest.

What Authorities Seized:

Trafficking amount of fentanyl
Felony amounts of cocaine, Xanax, and marijuana
A large sum of cash
Charges Against McCormick:

Trafficking Opium or Heroin (5 counts)
PWIMSD (Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell, or Deliver) Heroin
PWIMSD Marijuana
Maintaining a Vehicle or Dwelling Place (5 counts)
Possession of Controlled Substances on Jail Premises (after fentanyl was found on him at the detention center)
McCormick remains in custody at the Pitt County Detention Center under a $4,501,920 secured bond.
