MT. OLIVET, Ky. (WXIX) – A gruesome discovery was made in a Northern Kentucky home when a dismembered body and what appeared to be cooked body parts were found by police after receiving a call to the scene.
On Thursday, Kentucky State Police announced the arrest of Torilena May Fields, 32, in connection with the shocking crime. Officers arrived at the home on Brierly Ridge after a man reported finding a deceased woman on the property around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The caller, who was there to do work for the homeowner, stated he had seen both the victim and Fields the day prior. According to the police citation, the witness described Fields as being confrontational and casting spells.
After knocking on the door and receiving no response, the man began searching for the property owner and stumbled upon a horrifying scene. Following drag marks in the grass, he discovered a dismembered body behind the house, with the victim’s arms, legs, and head removed.
Additionally, troopers reported finding “multiple body parts and organs” inside a folded mattress next to the body. Inside the home, they discovered what appeared to be cooked human body parts in a still-warm pot on the kitchen stove.
The identity of the deceased has not yet been disclosed. Fields is currently being held at the Bourbon County Detention Center, facing several charges, including obstructing governmental operations, tampering with physical evidence, and abuse of a corpse. She is scheduled to appear in court on October 14.
