Topeka Men Arrested for Aggravated Robbery in Apartment Incident

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – Two Topeka residents were taken into custody following an alleged aggravated robbery in a local apartment on Saturday evening.

At approximately 7:50 p.m., Topeka Police responded to a report of an aggravated robbery in the 1600 block of SW 37th Terrace. Upon arrival, officers located two individuals within an apartment who were identified as potential suspects.

Following the investigation, the suspects were arrested and transported to the Shawnee County Department of Corrections. The arrested individuals were identified as:

Matthew Jackson, 29, Topeka – Facing charges of aggravated robbery and theft.
Jerald Metzger, 46, Topeka – Facing charges of aggravated robbery, aggravated assault, criminal threat, theft, and criminal possession of a weapon.
The investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
