Topeka Man Arrested for Meth Possession in Shawnee County

Topeka, Kan. (WIBW) — A 45-year-old Topeka man was arrested early Tuesday morning for methamphetamine possession in northern Shawnee County.

According to officials, Neal R. St Cyr was arrested around 4:30 a.m. in the 4600 block of N.W. 46th Street after emergency dispatchers received a call about a blue 2017 Chevrolet Colorado parked at an ATM. A deputy with the Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office, trained as a drug recognition expert, responded to the scene.

During the investigation, illegal narcotics were discovered, leading to St Cyr’s arrest. He was booked into the Shawnee County Jail on charges of possession of opiates, opium, narcotics, or stimulants, as well as possession of drug paraphernalia.

St Cyr remains in custody without bond pending his first appearance in Shawnee County District Court. The case is still under investigation.
