Tishomingo Woman Arrested for Methamphetamine Possession

A Tishomingo woman, Kalah Renae McCarty, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance following a traffic stop in Burnsville. According to the Tishomingo County Sheriff’s Department, deputies observed McCarty at the Burnsville boat ramp, where she was later stopped for a traffic violation.

Upon receiving consent to search McCarty’s vehicle, deputies discovered a substance believed to be methamphetamine. As a result, McCarty was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, in addition to the original traffic violation.

McCarty’s bond was set at $10,000.
