Three individuals, including Timothy Welch, Natalie Medina, and Richard Fulmer, were arrested on Tuesday morning in connection with the theft of over $7,000 worth of copper wire in Winchester. Deputies from the Perris Sheriff’s Station responded to the intersection of Winchester and Scott Roads at 8:09 a.m. after receiving reports of a grand theft. Investigations revealed that the copper wire had been stolen overnight, and officials confirmed a similar theft had occurred just days prior, with the loss estimated at over $21,000.
Working alongside the Special Enforcement Team and the Investigations Bureau personnel, deputies executed a search warrant at a residence located on Washington Street. There, they recovered the stolen copper wire and identified the three suspects.
The suspects were later identified as 39-year-old Timothy Welch and 21-year-old Natalie Medina, both residents of Winchester, and 44-year-old Richard Fulmer from Hemet. All three suspects were booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center. Welch was booked for misdemeanor warrants, while Medina and Fulmer were charged with possessing stolen property. Additionally, Fulmer was found to be in violation of probation.
Investigators are urging anyone with further information to contact Investigator Barbee at 951-776-1099 or the Perris Sheriff’s Station at 951-210-1000.
