AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – Timothy Kevin Marcus, 58, was arrested on Wednesday afternoon and charged with two counts of felony public indecency.
The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office reported that the arrest took place around 4 p.m. following an investigation into online social media footage that captured the incident.
Marcus, who has a history with similar charges, was previously sentenced in 1996 to 15 years for child molestation in Cobb County. Locally, in 2017, he faced charges for felony public indecency in Columbia County.
Authorities said additional charges may follow. Sheriff Gino Brantley thanked local media and citizens for providing critical information that led to Marcus’ swift arrest. He emphasized the importance of community collaboration in keeping Augusta-Richmond County safe.
