Three More Arrested in Connection with Suhas Shetty’s Murder in Mangaluru

The Mangaluru police have made significant progress in their investigation into the murder of 30-year-old former Bajrang Dal activist, Suhas Shetty, who was killed on May 1 in Bajpe. Three additional suspects were arrested in connection with the case, bringing the total number of arrests to 11.

The newly arrested individuals are:

Azharuddin, 29, from Kalavaru village

Abdul Khader, 24, from Bajpe

Naushad, 39, from Farangipete in Bantwal taluk

Azharuddin is accused of providing vital information about Shetty’s whereabouts to the assailants. He has a history of involvement in theft cases in Mulky, Surathkal, and Panambur areas. Abdul Khader assisted the attackers in escaping after the brutal murder, while Naushad is believed to have been part of the conspiracy and participated in the killing. Naushad has a criminal history, with accusations including murder, attempted murder, and dacoity.

The suspects were brought before the magistrate, who granted police custody for seven days to further investigate their roles in the crime. Authorities are still searching for additional individuals involved in the murder.

On May 1, Shetty was attacked by a group of assailants who blocked his car and hacked him to death. This brutal killing has shocked the community, and with these latest arrests, the investigation continues to unfold.
