Three Men Arrested in Hillsborough County Drug Operation

In a significant bust by the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO), three men have been arrested following an undercover operation targeting drug activity in the area. The operation, conducted by the HCSO’s Street Crimes Unit, was set up to combat the growing issue of methamphetamine and fentanyl trafficking in the region.

On Thursday, 34-year-old Roy Sprouse was apprehended after allegedly selling methamphetamine and fentanyl to 29-year-old Adolfo Regino. According to HCSO reports, Sprouse was taken into custody without incident. However, Regino, a key suspect in the case, attempted to flee the scene once law enforcement closed in.

A search was launched for Regino, with HCSO’s Aviation Section assisting in locating him. The search led officers to a residence off Corwin Street where Regino had been hiding. Shortly after, deputies also apprehended Anthony Greco, a 40-year-old man who had active warrants against him. Regino was found hiding under a trailer and was taken into custody without further resistance.

The three suspects now face a variety of charges, including:

Adolfo Regino:

Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Sell or Deliver
Driving with a Canceled, Suspended, or Revoked License
Resisting Officer without Violence
Unlawful Possession of Personal Identification of Another
Carrying a Concealed Weapon (Felon)
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Delivery of a Controlled Substance (x2)
Possession of a Controlled Substance (x2)
Multiple Failure to Appear charges related to previous offenses
Anthony Greco:

Failure to Appear: Felony Petit Theft
Violation of Probation for Felony Petit Theft (x2)
Roy Sprouse:

Delivery of a Controlled Substance (x2)
HCSO officials confirmed that all three men have extensive criminal backgrounds, which have further intensified the charges they now face. This operation is another step in the ongoing efforts by local authorities to crack down on the illegal drug trade and protect the community from the dangers posed by methamphetamine and fentanyl.

The operation highlights the collaborative efforts of various law enforcement units in ensuring that those involved in drug trafficking are held accountable for their actions.
