Three Men Arrested in Grimes County for Cattle Theft

GRIMES COUNTY, Texas (KBTX) — Three men were arrested early Wednesday morning in connection with a cattle theft operation, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS). Authorities reported that the suspects were seen transporting stolen cattle in two pickup trucks that had been taken from Robertson County.

The arrests were made around 1:30 a.m. when one of the trucks was pulled over near the Navasota Livestock Auction Barn. The passenger of the truck, Drae Bowser, was found to have an outstanding warrant for Theft of a Trailer from Robertson County. The driver of the second truck, Tavion Hyman, also had a similar warrant for the same charge.

Both Bowser and Hyman, along with Cedrion Golden, the driver of the first pickup truck, were arrested without incident. They are currently being held at the Grimes County Jail while authorities continue their investigation into the theft.

The operation involved multiple law enforcement agencies, including Robertson County, Grimes County, Brazos County, Burleson County, Limestone County, the DPS Criminal Investigations Division, and the Texas Southwestern Special Cattle Rangers.

The investigation is ongoing as authorities work to determine the full scope of the cattle theft operation.
