Three Drug Peddlers Arrested in Shimla with Heroin

In a successful drug bust, Shimla police arrested three individuals for drug peddling in the Sanjauli area. The accused—Trilok Negi, Anupam, and Suraj Prakash—were apprehended with 9.3 grams of heroin, also known locally as ‘chitta’. The arrests came after a tip-off from reliable sources indicating that the trio had been operating from a rented room in the Cemetery area of Sanjauli.

Following the intelligence, the Shimla police swiftly raided the premises and seized the illegal narcotics. The police believe the individuals had been distributing the drugs in the region, and further investigations are underway to track any additional associates involved in the trade.

Shimla’s Superintendent of Police (SP), Sanjeev Kumar Gandhi, confirmed the arrests and stated that police action against drug trafficking would continue to intensify in the area. The authorities are determined to combat the growing issue of narcotics within the district.

Note: Further legal proceedings are ongoing, and police are gathering more information as part of the investigation.
