Three Drug Peddlers Arrested in Nirjuli and Papu Hills Under ‘Operation Dawn 2.0

As part of their continued efforts under the ‘Operation Dawn 2.0’ initiative, police in Nirjuli and Papu Hills, Arunachal Pradesh, arrested three drug peddlers and seized a total of 51.45 grams of heroin in two separate operations conducted on Saturday.

In the first operation, police carried out a naka checking at Dikrong Colony and intercepted two suspects: Almaz Ali (20) and Ajaharul Islam (21). They were apprehended with heroin in their possession.

The second operation took place near the Papu Hills Police Station in Tarajuli. Acting on reliable inputs regarding drug-related activity, the police launched a targeted operation, resulting in the arrest of Roshidul Hoque (27), who was found in possession of narcotics.

The police have launched further investigations to uncover the full extent of the drug trafficking network. This marks a significant achievement in the ongoing battle against illegal drug activities in the region.
