Three Drug Peddlers Arrested in Baramulla with Contraband Substances

Baramulla Police have arrested three individuals involved in drug peddling and recovered contraband substances from their possession, according to an official statement released on Wednesday.

In the Khawajabagh area of Baramulla, Sarfaraz Ahmad Dar, a resident of Kralhar, was apprehended after police recovered 60 tablets of Alprazolam and 29 tablets of Pacitane, both psychotropic substances.

At Banali Boniyar, Mehraj-ud-Din Sheikh, a resident of Dudran, was arrested after police seized 54 grams of a heroin-like substance from his possession.

In a third incident, police arrested Jahangir Ahmad Shah of Takiya Wagoora, after 30 grams of a cannabis-like substance was found with him.

Cases have been registered under the relevant sections of the law at the respective police stations, and further investigation is underway, the police said.
