Three Arrested with Brown Sugar and Cash in Palamu, Jharkhand

In a significant drug bust, the Palamu district police arrested three individuals on Monday night after intercepting their vehicle during a routine check at the Mangardaha Valley in the Chainpur police station area. The arrested persons were found in possession of brown sugar valued at Rs 12.4 lakh and Rs 8.89 lakh in cash.

The three suspects, identified as Manish Kumar (22), Md Toofan (20), and Chirag Kumar Singh (20), were also found carrying additional items, including two gold rings weighing around 28 grams, a gold chain, a silver ring, and three mobile phones. The vehicle used by the suspects was also seized by the police.

Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Madhubhusan Prasad confirmed that further investigation is underway into the origins and distribution network involved in this narcotics case.
