Three Arrested in Nuh with Heroin Worth Over Rs 1 Crore

In one of the largest drug recoveries in the district, Nuh Police arrested three men on Wednesday after seizing 1.2kg of heroin valued at over Rs 1 crore. The accused were caught transporting the drugs in an SUV when their vehicle was intercepted at a checkpoint on the Nuh-Sohna road.

The arrested individuals—Mumtaz alias Sinam from Rehna, Asif from Shahpur Nangli, and Azad from Rehpwa—were traveling in a Scorpio car and had hidden the heroin in a polythene bag under the handbrake. Acting on a tip-off, the Nuh crime unit set up a blockade near Rozka’s turn on the Sohna-Nuh road.

As the suspects’ vehicle approached the checkpoint, the driver attempted to flee, but was promptly intercepted. A thorough search revealed the heroin concealed in the vehicle, leading to the arrest of the three men.

The operation highlights the effective coordination of Nuh Police and their efforts to combat drug trafficking in the region.
