Three Arrested in Knoxville Murder of William Aaron

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Two more individuals have been arrested in connection to the murder of 61-year-old William Aaron, whose body was found at his home on Cluster Avenue on May 28.

An autopsy confirmed that Aaron died from head trauma, and investigators believe more than one person was involved in his death. Last week, Morgan Monroe Ward, 21, was charged with first-degree murder in the case.

Following Ward’s arrest, investigators traveled to Saginaw, Michigan, to pursue leads that led them to two additional suspects. On Tuesday night, Chelsea Leighann Lauderdale, 21, from Strawberry Plains, and Daniel Joe Hickman, 25, from Andersonville, were arrested and also charged with first-degree murder.

Both Lauderdale and Hickman will be extradited to Tennessee to face the charges.

Ward remains in custody with a $250,000 bond, while Lauderdale and Hickman await their transport back to Tennessee.
