HESPERIA, Calif. (VVNG.com) – Three individuals were arrested in Hesperia, California, on multiple charges, including burglary and possession of a stolen vehicle following a series of investigations by deputies.
On Sunday, March 9, 2025, Deputy D. McCarter responded to a report of a stolen vehicle in the 10000 block of Dandelion Lane in Apple Valley. Video surveillance revealed a Land Rover pulling up to the stolen vehicle, leading deputies to a location on Sandia Road. As deputies closed in, the stolen vehicle was spotted being driven through a mobile home park. The suspects fled on foot but were quickly detained by responding officers.
The arrested suspects were Cristian Matthew Duran, 31, and Briana Wilson, 27, both of Apple Valley. They were charged with possession of stolen property.
Later that same day, at 2:51 pm, a residential burglary was reported on Cholena Road. Homeowners discovered their house had been ransacked after returning from church. Video footage linked Joseph Allen Canum, 27, of Hesperia, to the crime. The following morning, deputies located Canum, who was driving a stolen Land Rover. He had an active felony warrant and was in possession of stolen property from the Dandelion Lane vehicle theft.
On March 11, 2025, a search warrant executed at a residence in Hesperia led to the recovery of stolen items from the vehicle theft, along with brass knuckles and methamphetamine.
Duran was arrested on March 9, 2025, and is being held without bail for violating PC 3455 (Post-Release Community Supervision). Canum was arrested on March 10, 2025, and is held on $280,000 bail, facing possession of a stolen vehicle and another PC 3455 violation. Wilson was arrested on March 11, 2025, for possession of stolen property, brass knuckles, and methamphetamine, with bail set at $30,000.
