In a significant drug case, three men were arrested by Chandigarh Police after a routine vehicle search led to the seizure of 1.167 kg of hashish. The suspects—Amit Joshi, a resident of Chandigarh, Sumit Kumar Jaggi, from Kangra, Himachal Pradesh, and Ravindra Singh—were arrested over the course of a few days.
On February 12, Amit Joshi was apprehended near Abhaypur village, Sector 19, after police found the drugs in his vehicle. During questioning, Joshi revealed that he had purchased the drugs from Jaggi, leading to his arrest on February 14.
In Sumit’s remand, he stated that Ravindra Singh was the source of the hashish and that Ravindra illegally produced and supplied the drug in Kullu. Acting on this lead, Ravindra was arrested on February 16.
All three suspects have been sent to judicial custody as the investigation continues.
