Three Arrested in Connection with Rs80 Gram Gold Theft in Kodikal, Mangaluru

The Urwa Police have successfully arrested three individuals in connection with a theft that occurred on July 6 in Kodikal Vivekananda Nagar. The accused, identified as Venkatesh alias Venky (21), Sagar (21), and Ranjith (20), were apprehended in Gangowdana Halli in the Nelamangala Taluk of Bengaluru Rural District.

According to the police, the three individuals were involved in the theft of 80 grams of gold jewelry from a residence in Kodikal. The stolen items were recovered after the suspects confessed to the crime during interrogation. Additionally, the police seized the scooter used by the accused during the theft.

The suspects were produced before the court and have been remanded in judicial custody.

The operation, led by Inspector Bharti of Urwa Police Station, was conducted with the assistance of SIs Harish HV, Anita HB, Vinay Kumar, and other police personnel including Pushtaraj, Ramachandra, Satish HK, Pramod K, Venkatesh, Abhishek, Bhaskar, Yallalinga, Mamata, Chandrahas, Sarath, as well as the Mangaluru City Computer Department staff member Manoj.

The investigation is ongoing as authorities continue to probe the suspects’ involvement in other criminal activities.
