MACON, Ga. — Three individuals have been arrested and charged with murder in connection to the 2017 homicide of Michael Baxley. The arrests come after over seven years of investigation into the death of Baxley, whose body was discovered on November 6, 2017.
According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office (BSO), authorities were called to the home in the 4400 block of Pharr Avenue in west Macon after a friend of Baxley found him unresponsive inside the doorway of the house. The friend discovered the carport door cracked open, and Baxley, 53, was found lying there.
Since the discovery, investigators have continued to follow up on new leads. These efforts led to the issuance of arrest warrants for Hayley Wilson, Daniel Crafton, and Brittany Wilson in connection to Baxley’s death.
Daniel Crafton was arrested Thursday, February 13, at 10:51 a.m. without incident and taken to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center.
Brittany Wilson was arrested Friday, February 14, in connection to the case.
Hayley Wilson, who is Brittany’s sibling, was already incarcerated at the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center.
All three suspects are being held without bond and are facing murder charges related to Michael Baxley’s death. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are continuing to work to bring justice to the victim’s family.
