COLCHESTER, Vt. – Three Burlington residents were arrested Monday after a burglary investigation led police to recover stolen guns and property.
The Colchester Police Department received a report of a home break-in on Walden Road at 11 a.m. Upon arriving at the scene, authorities discovered several guns, ammunition, and other items had been stolen from the home. Officers quickly identified a suspect vehicle used in the burglary and issued a “be-on-the-lookout” alert to neighboring police departments.
Later that day, the Burlington Police Department located the vehicle at a housing complex on Hildred Drive. Investigators also identified a second property on Hillside Terrace in Burlington linked to the crime. After securing search warrants for both locations, officers recovered 11 stolen firearms, ammunition, and other stolen items.
Three individuals were arrested in connection to the burglary:
Korey Koch, 35, of Burlington
Eugene Streeter, 39, of Burlington
Dustin Dexter, 34, of Burlington
All three were charged with burglary, possession of stolen property, and conspiracy. They were released and are scheduled to appear in court to face the charges.
The investigation was a joint effort with assistance from the Winooski Police Department, Burlington Police Department, and the University of Vermont Police Department.
