Three Arrested in Armed Robbery Investigation in Vienna, IL

VIENNA, Ill. — Three individuals were arrested in connection with an armed robbery that took place last week at a Family Dollar store in Vienna. The suspects were apprehended following a traffic stop in Waterloo, Illinois.

Vienna Police Chief Jim Miller reported that the arrests were made after a hit was detected on a license plate reader in Murphysboro and Paducah. The Marion Police Department assisted in gathering information, which led to the vehicle being traced to Waterloo. With the help of the Waterloo Police Department, officers conducted a traffic stop and took the three suspects into custody. They were then transported to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.

Following interviews with the suspects, Chief Miller confirmed that they were extradited back to southern Illinois for further processing.

The suspects include Dale Davies, 29, from Waterloo, who is accused of entering the Family Dollar store and committing the robbery. Davies faces multiple charges, including:

2 Counts of Robbery
Aggravated Battery
Davies was taken to the Massac County Jail following his arrest.

Lauren Moore, 21, and Ashley Eugene Moore, 45, both from Waterloo, also face similar charges:

4 Counts of Armed Robbery
2 Counts of Robbery
Lauren and Ashley Moore were released after charges were filed, but they are still facing serious legal consequences.

The investigation into the robbery continues, with local authorities collaborating to ensure justice is served.
