Three Arrested for Burglary at NRI’s House in Sultanwind Link Road

The city police successfully cracked a burglary case at an NRI’s house, leading to the arrest of three individuals accused of stealing valuable items. The theft occurred last month at the residence of Gurjit Kaur and her husband Kanwar Amarinderdeep Singh, who had been in the USA since May of the previous year. On January 20th, Sukhjit Singh, Gurjit’s brother, discovered the burglary when he found the house ransacked and the main gate open. The thieves had stolen a 60-inch LED, a scooter, a microwave, two LPG cylinders, and other valuables.

The arrested individuals were identified as Raj Kumar alias Tamatar (20), Sunny Kumar (23), and Keshav Sharma (27). Raj Kumar and Sunny Kumar both have previous criminal records, with several cases against them, including a similar theft charge on Raj Kumar.

Assistant Commissioner of Police (South), Kamaljit Singh, confirmed the arrests and mentioned that further investigations were underway. Based on the suspects’ disclosures, more recoveries are expected in connection to the case.
