Three Arrested After Theft and Drug Charges in Douglas County, NV

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Nev. — Deputies from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) arrested three individuals on October 29 after they were involved in a theft at the Wal-Mart on Grant Way in Gardnerville, Nev.

Suspects Confronted During Theft at Wal-Mart

At approximately 1:15 p.m., DCSO responded to a report of a theft in progress at the Wal-Mart. The suspects, later identified as 23-year-old Robert Michael Dean, 24-year-old Dylan Andrew Mitts, and 22-year-old Elizabeth Kathrine Spandau, allegedly left the store with stolen merchandise.

When confronted by store security, one of the suspects reportedly brandished a knife before fleeing the scene with the stolen goods.

Vehicle Located and Evidence Found

A description of the suspect vehicle was quickly broadcast to officers, who located and stopped the vehicle a short time later on US 395 near Stephanie Lane. Upon investigating the vehicle, deputies found evidence linking the suspects to the theft, as well as drug paraphernalia.

All Three Arrested and Booked into Jail

Dean, Mitts, and Spandau were arrested and booked into the Douglas County Jail on charges related to theft and possession of drug paraphernalia. Authorities are continuing the investigation, and further updates are expected.
