CRAVEN COUNTY, N.C. — Three people were arrested after a raid of a home in Beaufort County uncovered stolen property linked to multiple break-ins in Craven County.
According to the Craven County Sheriff’s Office, along with deputies from Beaufort County, they executed a search warrant at a home on 322 Main Street Extension near Edward on Monday. The search followed several reports of stolen items from break-ins over the previous three weeks. Deputies discovered that the stolen goods were being taken to the home for resale.
The stolen items were connected to victims from the Cool Springs Road area in Ernul and the Bridgeton area of Craven County.
As a result of the investigation, the following individuals were arrested:
Malik Cassidy, 24, of Ernul, charged with:
Felony larceny
Larceny after breaking and entering
Larceny of a firearm
Financial card theft
Breaking and entering of a motor vehicle Cassidy was taken to the Craven County Jail on a $17,500 secured bond.
Jamale Stilley, 41, of Edward, charged with:
Obtaining property by false pretenses
Conspiracy to obtain property by false pretenses
Possession of stolen goods
Possession of a stolen firearm Stilley was taken to the Craven County Jail on a $125,000 secured bond.
Rhoda Jones, 47, of Edward, facing the same charges as Stilley, was also taken to the Craven County Jail on a $125,000 secured bond.
The investigation is ongoing, and more charges are expected as authorities continue to review the stolen property recovered during the raid.
