Thomas Dean Arrested on Meth Possession Charges in Vass

VASS, N.C. — A 62-year-old man from Cameron, North Carolina, is facing drug-related charges following a traffic stop in Vass on May 7, 2024.

According to Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields, detectives with the Moore County Sheriff’s Office initiated a traffic stop on U.S. Highway 1 at Main Street. During the stop, investigators located and seized suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Thomas Dean, of Cameron, was arrested and taken to the Moore County Detention Center under a 48-hour hold. He is scheduled for a court appearance on May 9.

Dean faces charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. As with all criminal defendants, he is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

The investigation is ongoing, and authorities encourage the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity.
