A Rhode Island man, Thomas Angelina, 35, has been arrested as part of “Operation Anvil Strike,” a nationwide operation targeting child sexual exploitation. The operation, led by the Southern Virginia Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force in October 2024, identified Angelina as one of the suspects.

The Rhode Island State Police ICAC Task Force arrested Angelina, who was subsequently extradited to Bedford. He faces several charges, including:

One count of using communication systems to facilitate offenses involving children
Nine additional counts of using communication systems for similar offenses, second or subsequent offenses.
Five other individuals involved in the nationwide bust hail from New York, Georgia, Missouri, Florida, and South Carolina. The operation’s success highlights the ongoing efforts to combat online child exploitation and trafficking.
